Kaynaklarda Hz. Peygamber’den namazda kıraat hakkında farklı rivâyetler yer almaktadır. Sonraki zamanlarda ortaya çıkan fıkhî ekoller bu rivâyetler çerçevesinde namazda kıraatin keyfiyetini doktrinleştirmişlerdir. Ulemadan bazılarına göre namazda Fâtiha Sûresi’nin okunması farzdır, namazda okunmadığı takdirde namaz ifsat olur. Öte taraftan namazda kifâyet miktarı kıraatin farz olan kıraat için yeterli olduğunu savunan âlimler de vardır. Her iki tarafın da delil olarak kullandığı rivâyetler mevcuttur. Bu makalede konu ile ilgili rivâyetler incelenmek suretiyle sıhhatlerinin keyfiyeti ortaya konmuştur. Namazda kolaya gelenin okunması veya Fâtiha Sûresi’nin kıraati konusunda varit olan rivâyetlerin incelenmesi neticesinde Fâtiha Sûresi’nin okunması gerekli olsa da aynı zamanda bir miktar Kur’ân kıraatinin de yeterli olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştırQiraah is one of the fard of prayer.
