This vegetation was studied according to the traditional Braun­ Blanquet approach. The plant associations were classified by considering characteristic species.. The forest vegetation of Artvin may also be divided into 2 main classes: Quercetea pubescentis and Querc(!-Fagetea. A total of 500 quadrats were examined. in this investigation, 9 plant associations belonging to forest vegetation types have been detennined.
