Molecular characterization of bacteria isolated from neodiprion sertifer and their pathogenic effects, Fresenius Environmental Bulletin, 31(4), 3937-3946.https://hdl.handle.net/11494/3789The present study aimed to investigate the bacterial flora of the Neodiprion sertifer and to determine the pathogenicity of these flora members against it under laboratory conditions. A total of 13 bacteria were isolated and theirs morphological, biochemical properties were determined. In addition, molecular characterization was performed for these isolates. Based on studies, the bacterial isolates were identified as Pseudomonas sp. (One strain), Staphylococcus sp. (two strains), Bacillus megaterium (one strain), Klebsiella oxytoca (three strains), Raoultella planticola (one strain), Pantoea agglomerans (three strains), Staphylococcus pasteuri (one strain), and Acinetobacter lwoffi (one strain). Then, the pathogenic effects of all isolates were tested on the pest. The highest pathogenic activity was obtained from strains Pseudomonas sp. with 60%. The results of this study indicate strain Pseudomonas sp. might be used potentially in the biological control of N. sertifer.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessMicrobial controlNeodiprion sertiferBacterial floraPathogenicityPestMolecular characterization of bacteria isolated from neodiprion sertifer and their pathogenic effectsArticle31439373946N/A
