Çin’in özellikle devlet şirketleri öncülüğünde gerçekleştirdiği tarımsal doğrudan yabancı yatırımlarının giderek artması ve bu yatırımların çoğunlukla satın alma-birleşme şeklinde gerçekleşmesi, küresel gıda rejimindeki ağırlığını artırabilecek niteliktedir. Hem artan nüfusunun gıda ihtiyacını karşılamak ve gıda güvenliğini sağlama almak hem de küresel gıda ekonomisindeki üretim ve değer zincirlerine eklemlenerek söz sahibi olma gayesi güden Çin’in bu faaliyetleri küresel gıda rejiminin de yeniden düşünülmesini beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada, küresel gıda rejiminde Çin’in artan rolü ve küresel gıda politikaları ve mevcut gıda rejimine etkileri üzerine bir değerlendirme yapılacaktır.In the global food sector, which is a laboratory that clearly demonstrates state-market relations and transformations in capitalism, the neo-liberal tendencies, on the one hand, and the rise of neo-mercantilist tendencies have led to the characterization of the current food regime as a hybrid regime. The fact that China's agricultural direct foreign investments, especially under the leadership of state-owned companies, is gradually increasing and these investments are mostly realized in the form of mergers & acquisitions, can increase the weight of China in the global food regime. To meet the food needs of its growing population and to ensure food safety and to have a say in the global food economy by integrating it into the production and value chains, these activities of China have led to a rethinking of the global food regime.
