Aphids fascinated scientists due to their unique life cycles, being a one of the important agricultural pest worldwide, overcoming various applied control strategies and also relatively benefited from global climate change. The importance of aphid studies in developing countries like a Turkey requires additional attention because the effects of aphids on agricultural production. In this aspect, 3 genera, Anthemidaphis Tashev, 1967, Olegia Shaposhnikov, 1979; Pentalonia Coquerel, 1859 and 15 aphid species added to Turkey aphid fauna which are; Anthemidaphis oligommata Tashev 1967, Aphis (Aphis) coreopsidis (Thomas, 1878), Aphis (Aphis) narzikulovi Szelegiewicz, 1963, Aphis (Aphis) pseudeuphorbiae Hille Ris Lambers, 1948, Aphis (Aphis) picridis (Börner, 1950), Chaitophorus clarus Tseng & Tao 1936, Chaitophorus parvus Hille Ris Lambers, 1935, Dysaphis (Pomaphis) gallica (Hille Ris Lambers, 1955), Melanaphis sorghi Theobald, 1904, Metopolophium (Metopolophium) festucae Theobald, 1917, Olegia ulmifoliae (Aoki, 1973), Schizaphis (Schizaphis) nigerrima (Hille Ris Lambers, 1931), Semiaphis heraclei (Takahashi, 1921), Semiaphis pastinacae Börner, 1950, Pentalonia nigronervosa Coquerel, 1859. Recorded species were evaluated for host plant relations, colony appearances, also ant attendance and new interactions observed. Number of the listed aphid species for Turkey aphid fauna increased to 631 with these new records.

Çakır, Bakiye
Two Y123 samples labeled as Y1 and Y2 were welded
using a Y123 solder reagent labeled as YA. Y1 and Y2 samples
were produced by the top-seeded melt growth method in Y123
+ 30 wt.% Y211 composition, and YA was produced by melt
powder melt growth method in Y123 + 30 wt.% Y211 + 20 wt.%
Ag2O composition. Artificial grain boundaries were created with
the solder reagent, and a pressure source was used during the
welding process to obtain larger bulk superconducting samples.
The welded sample was cut horizontally into three slices, which
were named WY1, WY2, and WYA from top to down. Some
superconducting properties, such as superconducting transition
temperature (Tc) and critical current density (Jc), of the welded
samples were investigated before and after the welding process.
Good quality welds were obtained mechanically, and the Tc values
determined from the resistivity measurements are around 92 K for
all specimens, indicating that the welding has no negative effect
on Tc. The calculated Jc values are 13.71, 12.08, and 9.97 kA/cm2
for Y1, Y2, and YA specimens cut from the samples before the
welding process, respectively, whereas the Jc values are 2.33, 21.13,
and 14.42 kA/cm2 for WY1, WY2, and WYA specimens cut from
the welded sample after the welding process, respectively. It was
observed that the welding process enhanced the superconducting
properties of the welding region. After the welding process, the
superconducting properties of the high-quality samples oriented
in the c-axis decreased less than those samples that do not have a
preferential orientation or grain structure.

Yıldız, Nesibe; Yılmaz, Adnan
Background: Breast milk is a natural food that contains all the fluids, energy, and nutrients necessary for the optimum growth and
development of newborns. Smoking is a public health problem that has harmful effects on the mother and baby. This study aimed
to examine the association of exposure to smoking with total oxidant status (TOS) and total antioxidant status (TAS) in breast milk.
Methods: Healthy mothers without any health problems during their pregnancy and lactation periods were selected as subjects.
Eighty-eight milk samples (44 in the smoking group and 44 in the nonsmoking group) were examined. TOS and TAS were analyzed
using Rel Assay commercial kits.
Results: TAS level was significantly lower in the smoking group than in the nonsmoking group (p < 0.05). TOS level was higher in
the smoking group than in the nonsmoking group, although the difference was not statistically significant (p > 0.05). Oxidative
stress index (OSI) was significantly higher in the smoking group than in the nonsmoking group (p < 0.05).
Conclusions: Exposure to smoking was associated with low TAS and high OSI in breast milk.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficiency and performance of hospitals at regional level. In the study, 2017
data of 25 public hospitals, including 17 state hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health, 5 education and
research hospitals and 3 branch hospitals, operating in the Eastern Anatolia region with a capacity of 100 beds or
more, were used. Hospitals were evaluated within their own groups, Data Envelopment Method was used for
efficiency analysis and TOPSIS method based on ENTROPY was used for performance analysis. According to the
results obtained, it was observed that 11 out of 17 state hospitals and 1 out of 5 training and research hospitals were
not working effectively, and 3 branch hospitals were working effectively. It was observed that the efficiency score
of state hospitals was between 89.36% and 100%, and the efficiency scores of training and research hospitals ranged
from 97.73% to 100%. It was observed that the efficiency score and the performance ranking were parallel to each
other. It has been observed that the performance ranking of hospitals that operate effectively is in the first place,
while hospitals that do not operate effectively are in the last place in the performance ranking.; Bu çalışmada amaç, bölgesel düzeyde hastanelerin etkinlik ve performans değerlendirmesini yapmaktır.
