    This study aims to examine hybrid electricity generation models and make recommendations to Turkey. With the contribution of developments in science and technology, hybrid electricity generation is used extensively in electricity generation. Furthermore, it is expected that this type of generation will be more on the agenda within the scope of combating the climate crisis. Turkey's energy policy aims to benefit as much as possible from renewable energy sources. In this direction, as of 2020, multi-source generation models have begun to be used in Turkey, along with a single source of electricity generation. Current legislation and market design have also been rearranged accordingly. Within the scope of this study, hybrid electricity generation model is divided into three groups, such as combined electricity generation, co-firing electricity generation, and supportive sourced electricity generation and the characteristics of each model are examined. In Turkey, in order to use a common language for these models, the necessary definitions and regulations should be made primarily in the primary legislation. Furthermore, depending on its structure, each model should be supported by a different supporting mechanism. In this way, the place of the electricity power plants within the scope of these models in the market will be determined and a motivation will be provided for the investors. Upon completion of the said legislation, it is considered that a significant legislative gap in the electricity market in Turkey will be resolved.
