| dc.description.abstract | Osmanlı Devleti’nin Tiflis Başkonsolosu Behçet Efendi ve hanımı 23 Ekim 1876 gecesi evlerine giren kişiler tarafından Tiflis’te öldürüldüler. Katiller üç sene gibi uzun bir sürenin ardından Mayıs 1879’da tutuklanmış ve yargılama sonunda 23 Mayıs 1880’de sekiz ile on beş yıl arasında değişen sürelerle ağır işlerde çalıştırılmak cezasına çarptırılmışlardır. Olay, Ermeniler tarafından Türk diplomatlara karşı işlenmiş ilk cinayet olma özelliği taşımaktadır. Bu makalede Başkonsolos ve hanımının öldürülmeleri olayı üzerinde durulmaktadır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Behçet Efendi, the consul general of the Ottoman Empire in Tbilisi, and his wife were killed by intruders who entered their home on the night of 23 October 1876. The murderers were arrested in May 1879 after a time as long as three years and at the end of the trial, on 23 May 1880, were sentenced to heavy labor for varying periods of time from eight to fifteen years. The incident features the first murder committed by Armenians against Turkish diplomats. In this article, the incident of murder of the Consul General and his wife is deliberated. | |
