Özet
Tanenli tutkallarının yonga levha, lif levha ve kontrplak gibi odun kökenli levha üretiminde kullanılması son yıllarda endüstriyel olarak artan bir ilgi görmektedir. Tanen ekstraktlarının odun tutkalları olarak kullanımına yönelik araştırmalar 1950’de başlamış olup, kullanımında karşılaşılan problemler nedeniyle gelişim süreci oldukça yavaş olmuştur. Ancak 1970’li yıllarda yaşanan petrol krizinden sonra petrol türevi fenolik reçineler yerine tanenlerin kullanılabileceği fikri pek çok çalışmanın temelini oluşturmuştur. Geçmişte tanen formaldehit tutkalları ile ilgili yapılan araştırmalarda ekonomik beklentiler önem taşırken, günümüzde odunun yapıştırılmasında hem ekonomik hem de ekolojik faktörler dikkate alınmak zorundadır.
Recently, increasing attention has been paid industrially to the use of tannin formaldehyde adhesives in production of wood based panel products such as particleboard, fiber board and plywood.
