“Bavul müze ile sosyal bilgiler” projesi kapsamındaki tasarım süreçlerine ilişkin öğrenci deneyimleri

Özet
Araştırmanın temel amacı “Bavul Müze ile Sosyal Bilgiler” projesi kapsamında gerçekleştirilen tasarım atölyelerindeki tasarım süreçlerine ilişkin, bu süreçlerde yer alan öğrencilerin görüşlerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu atölye tasarım sürecine katılan toplam 21 ortaokul 5. sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. “Bavul Müze ile Sosyal Bilgiler” projesi kapsamında ortaokul 5. sınıf öğrencilerine yönelik 3 ayrı tasarım atölye çalışması (tablet yazma, müzik aleti tasarlama ve kıyafet oluşturma) gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tasarım atölyelerinde üretilecek ürünlerin içeriği ve tasarım sürecinin nasıl gerçekleştirileceği önceden katılımcılara anlatılmıştır. Tasarım sürecinde kullanılacak araç-gereçler katılımcılara hazır bir şekilde sunulmuştur. Tasarım süreçleri araştırmacılar tarafından yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada yöntem olarak durum çalışması kullanılmıştır. Tasarım atölyeleri sonucunda katılımcıların görüşleri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları aracılığıyla alınmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde betimsel analiz ve içerik analizi kullanılmış, veriler tablolarla ifade edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda katılımcılar atölyelerden zevk aldıklarını, konuyu daha kolay öğrendiklerini, sosyal bilgiler dersinin kendileri için keyifli hale geldiğini belirtmişlerdir
The basic purpose of the present study was to determine the opinions of the students about the design processes in the design workshops performed in the scope of the “Baggage Museum and Social Sciences” project. A total of 21 secondary school students who were at the 5th Grade and who participated in the workshop design process were included in the Study Group. Three different design workshops (writing tablets, designing musical instruments, and creating clothes) were organized for secondary school 5th Grade students in the scope of the “Baggage Museum and Social Studies” project. The contents of the products that would be produced in the design workshops and how the design process would be performed were explained to the participants before the study was initiated. The tools that would be used in the design process were presented to the participants in a ready-made fashion. The design processes were run by the researchers. The case study design was used as the method in the study. After the design workshops were completed, the opinions of the participants were collected with semi-structured interview forms. The descriptive and content analyses were used in analyzing the data that were obtained. The data are expressed in tables. As a result of the study, the participants stated that they enjoyed the workshops, learned the subject more easily, and that the social sciences class became enjoyable for them.
