Özet
Orman kaynaklarındaki zamansal değişim ile bu değişime etki eden faktörlerin anlaşılması hazırlanacak olan planların etkinliğini arttırmak ve orman kaynaklarının sürdürülebilir planlanması için oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, Tunceli ilinin (780 807 ha) arazi örtüsünün değişimi zamansal ve konumsal olarak incelenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında, alanın 1987-2010 yıllarına ait Landsat uydu görüntüleri sınıflandırılmış ve 1973 yılı meşcere tipleri haritaları Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri (CBS) ile sayısallaştırılarak uydu görüntüsü sınıflandırılmasında kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca, orman kaynaklarının konumsal yapısındaki (orman parçalarının sayı ve konumsal dağılımları) değişimi FRAGSTATSTM programı ile belirlenmiştir. Çalışma alanında, kırsal nüfusun çok hızlı azalması nedeniyle orman alanları üzerindeki baskının azalmış ve buna paralel olarak ormanlık alanlarda 1987 ve 2010 yılları arasında tüm alanda %5.73 oranında artış tespit edilmiştir. Yıllık ormanlaşma oranı ise %1.52 oranında gerçekleşmiştir. Konumsal yapı bakımından incelendiğinde; her ne kadar parça sayısı (NP) ve alan ağırlıklı ortalama şekil indeksi (AWMSI) değerleri artsa da, ormanlık alandaki artışa bağlı olarak ortalama parça büyüklüğünün (MPS) artması orman ekosisteminin 1987 ve 2010 yılları arasında daha dayanıklı bir yapıya doğru gittiğini göstermektedir.
Understanding the temporal changes in forest resources and underlying factors is vital for increasing the effectiveness of plans and sustainable planning of forest resources. This study analyzed spatial-temporal land cover change of the Tunceli province (780,807 ha). The area was researched by classified LANDSAT images from 1987 to 2010. Digitized forest cover type maps from 1973 via Geographic Information Systems (GIS) were used for satellite image classification. In addition, the study investigated temporal changes of spatial structure of forest resources (the number and spatial distribution of forest patches) using FRAGSTATSTM software. The results showed that over the period from 1987 to 2010 forested areas increased (5.73%) due to the decreased pressure on forest areas in parallel with very rapid decline of the rural population. This translates to an average 1.3% annual rate of forest improvement. In terms of spatial configuration, although there is an increase in Number of Patches (NP) and Area Weighted Mean Shape Index (AWMSI), bigger mean patch size as a result of increased forest area suggests that overall trend in forest ecosystem is towards to the more durable structure.
