Öğe The nexus between team culture, innovative work behaviour and tacit knowledge sharing: Theory and evidence(MDPI AG, 2021) Işık, Cem; Aydın, Ekrem; Doğru, Tarık; Rehman, Abdul; Alvarado, Rafael; Ahmad, Munir; İrfan, MuhammadTacit knowledge sharing is an essential intellectual capital for frontline employees in hotel enterprises. While the relationship of knowledge sharing with team culture (TC) and innovative work behavior (IWB) was investigated in the extant literature, little is known about the extent to which tacit knowledge sharing affects TC and IWB. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to investigate the role of tacit knowledge sharing in the relationship between TC and IWB. For this purpose, data were gathered from 360 department managers of Turkish 4–5 star hotels. The results were analyzed utilizing Smart PLS 3 using bootstrapping to determine the level of significance of the relationships between tacit knowledge sharing, TC and IWB. The results show statistically significant relationships between tacit knowledge sharing, TC and IWB. Moreover, tacit knowledge sharing has a mediating role in the relationship between team culture and innovative work behavior.Öğe On Burr III Marshal Olkin family: development, properties, characterizations and applications(Springer, 2019) Bhatti, Fiaz Ahmad; Hamedani G.G.; Korkmaz, Mustafa Çağatay; Cordeiro, Gauss M.; Yousof, Haitham M.; Ahmad, MunirIn this paper, a flexible family of distributions with unimodel, bimodal, increasing, increasing and decreasing, inverted bathtub and modified bathtub hazard rate called Burr III-Marshal Olkin-G (BIIIMO-G) family is developed on the basis of the T-X family technique. The density function of the BIIIMO-G family is arc, exponential, left- skewed, right-skewed and symmetrical shaped. Descriptive measures such as quantiles, moments, incomplete moments, inequality measures and reliability measures are theoretically established. The BIIIMO-G family is characterized via different techniques. Parameters of the BIIIMO-G family are estimated using maximum likelihood method. A simulation study is performed to illustrate the performance of the maximum likelihood estimates (MLEs). The potentiality of BIIIMO-G family is demonstrated by its application to real data sets.Öğe On burr III-pareto distribution: Development, properties, characterizations and applications(Univ Punjab, 2019) Bhatti, Fiaz Ahmad; Hamedani, G. G.; Korkmaz, Mustafa Çağatay; Ahmad, MunirIn this paper, a new four parameter lifetime model with increasing, decreasing, increasing-decreasing, decreasing-increasing-decreasing, modified bathtub, bathtub and inverted bathtub hazard rate function called Burr III-Pareto (BIII-Pareto) is developed on the basis of the T-X family technique. The BIII-Pareto density function is arc, J-shape, reverse J-shape, positively, negatively skewed and symmetrical. Some structural and mathematical properties including moments, moments of order statistics, inequality measures and reliability measures are theoretically established. The BIII-Pareto distribution is characterized via different techniques. Parameters of the BIII-Pareto distribution are estimated using maximum likelihood method. The simulation study for performance of the maximum likelihood estimates (MLEs) of parameters for the BIII-Pareto distribution is carried out. The potentiality of the BIII-Pareto distribution is demonstrated by its application to real data sets. Goodness of fit of this distribution through different methods is studied. The BIII-Pareto distribution is empirically better for lifetime applications.Öğe On the modified Burr XII-Power distribution: development, properties, characterizations and applications(Univ Punjab, 2019) Bhatti, Fiaz Ahmad; Hamedani, G. G.; Korkmaz, Mustafa Çağatay; Ahmad, MunirIn this paper, a flexible lifetime distribution with increasing, decreasing and bathtub hazard rate called the Modified Burr XII-Power (MBXII-Power) is developed on the basis of the T-X family technique. The density function of the MBXII-Power is arc, exponential, left-skewed, right-skewed, J, reverse-J and symmetrical shaped. Descriptive measures such as moments, moments of order statistics, incomplete moments, inequality measures, residual life functions and reliability measures are theoretically established. The MBXII-Power distribution is characterized via different techniques. Parameters of the MBXII-Power distribution are estimated using maximum likelihood method. The simulation study is performed on the basis of graphical results to see the performance of maximum likelihood estimates (MLEs) of the MBXII-Power distribution. The potentiality of the MBXII-Power distribution is demonstrated by its application to real data sets: survival times of pigs, survival times of patients and quarterly earnings.Öğe On the new modified burr XII distribution: Development, properties, characterizations and applications(University of Punjab (new Campus), 2023) Bhatti, Fiaz Ahmad; Hamedani G.G.; Korkmaz, Mustafa Çağatay; Yousof, Haitham M.; Ahmad, MunirA new distribution with flexible hazard rate function is introduced which is called new modified Burr XII (NMBXII) distribution. The proposed distribution is derived from the T-X family technique and compounding the generalized Nadarajah–Haghighi (GNH) and gamma distributions. We highlighted the shapes of NMBXII density and failure rate functions. The density function of NMBXII model can take shapes such as J, reverse J, positively skewed and symmetrical. The proposed model can produce almost all types of failure rates such as increasing, decreasing, increasing-decreasing, decreasing-increasing, bimodal, inverted bathtub and modified bathtub. To show the importance of the proposed distribution, we established various mathematical properties such as quantiles, moments, incomplete moments, inequality measures, residual life functions and reliability measures theoretically. We have characterized the NMBXII distribution via two techniques. We addressed the maximum likelihood estimation technique for model parameters. The precision of the MLEs is estimated via a simulation study. We have considered three real data sets for applications to demonstrate the potentiality and utility of the NMBXII model. Then, we have established empirically that the proposed model is suitable for tax revenue, time periods between successive earthquakes and flood discharges applications. Finally, various model selection criteria, the goodness of fit statistics and graphical tools were used to examine the adequacy of the NMBXII distribution.Öğe On the new modified Dagum distribution: Properties and applications(Taru Publication, 2020) Bhatti, Fiaz Ahmad; Hamedani, Gholamhossein G.; Korkmaz, Mustafa Çağatay; Ahmad, MunirIn this paper, a new five parameter extended Dagum model called new modified Dagum (NMD) distribution is proposed. The proposed distribution is flexible as its density contains important sub-models such as modified Dagum, new Dagum, new modified Burr III, modified Burr III, Frechet, modified Frechet and many other distributions. The NMD density function is symmetrical, left-skewed, right-skewed, J, reverse-J and arc. The NMD distribution can produce all types of failure rates such as modified bathtub, bathtub, inverted bathtub, increasing and decreasing. To show the importance of the proposed distribution, we derive mathematical properties such as random number generator, sub-models, ordinary moments, moment generating function, characteristic function, incomplete moments, inequality measures, residual life functions and reliability measures. We characterize the NMD distribution via innovative techniques. We address the maximum likelihood estimation technique for the model parameters. We evaluate the precision of the maximum likelihood estimators via simulation study on the basis of the graphical results. We consider an application to a real data set to clarify the potentiality and utility of the NMD model. We establish empirically that the proposed model is suitable for survival times of patient's application. We apply goodness of fit statistics and graphical tools to examine the adequacy of the NMD distribution.Öğe The transmuted geometric-quadratic hazard rate distribution: Development, properties, characterizations and applications(Springer, 2018) Bhatti, Fiaz Ahmad; Hamedani G.G.; Korkmaz, Mustafa Çağatay; Ahmad, MunirWe propose a five parameter transmuted geometric quadratic hazard rate (TG-QHR) distribution derived from mixture of quadratic hazard rate (QHR), geometric and transmuted distributions via the application of transmuted geometric-G (TG-G) family of Afify et al.(Pak J Statist 32(2), 139-160, 2016). Some of its structural properties are studied. Moments, incomplete moments, inequality measures, residual life functions and some other properties are theoretically taken up. The TG-QHR distribution is characterized via different techniques. Estimates of the parameters for TG-QHR distribution are obtained using maximum likelihood method. The simulation studies are performed on the basis of graphical results to illustrate the performance of maximum likelihood estimates (MLEs) of the TG-QHR distribution. The significance and flexibility of TG-QHR distribution is tested through different measures by application to two real data sets.Öğe The unit generalized log Burr XII distribution: properties and application(American Institute of Mathematical Sciences, 2021) Bhatti, Fiaz Ahmad; Ali, Azeem; Hamedani, Gholamhossein G.; Korkmaz, Mustafa Çağatay; Ahmad, MunirIn this paper, a three-parameter bounded unit distribution with a flexible hazard rate called the unit generalized log Burr XII (UGLBXII) distribution is derived. To show the importance of the proposed distribution, we establish some of its mathematical properties such as random number generator, ordinary moments, generalized TL moments, conditional moments, reliability and uncertainty measures. We characterize the UGLBXII distribution via innovative techniques. We also present the bivariate? and multivariate?type distributions via Morgenstern (Mor) family and via Clayton family. Six estimation methods such as the maximum likelihood, maximum product spacings, least squares, weighted least squares, Cramer-von Mises and Anderson-Darling methods are adopted to estimate its unknown parameters. We perform simulation studies on the basis of the graphical results to see the performance of the above estimators. Two real data sets are considered to prove the empirical superiority of the proposed model. © 2021 the Author(s), licensee AIMS Press.
