New results on negative-indexed pell numbers via matrix methods(SİVAS CUMHURİYET ÜNİVERSİTESİ, 2025) Gökcan, İbrahim; Çağlayan, Ümmügülsüm; Değer, Ali HikmetIn this study, we investigate the Pell and Pell–Lucas numbers sequences and construct matrices whose elements are defined using negative indices of these sequences through Binet’s formula. The molecular structures of the complexes were confirmed by FTIR and UV-Visible spectroscopy and elemental analysis. Among the complexes, copper phthalocyanine compound (5) exhibited the highest catalytic efficiency, promoting the acetophenone and benzaldehyde transfer hydrogenation reactions in propan-2-ol under inert conditions, and the corresponding alcohols have a 98 % conversion rate within 1 h (A1) and 99 % conversion within 6 h (K1). The results show that both the electronic effects of substituents on the phthalonitrile ligands and the central metal nature play key roles in determining the catalytic performance of the MPc complexes in TH reactions.Öğe Novel bridged binuclear ruthenium-aminophosphine complexes for the transfer hydrogenation of ketones using isopropanol: Synthesis, catalytic performance, and electrochemical behavior(ELSEVIER, 2025) Tanrıverdi Gergin, Zuhal; Toksoy, Mahmut Ozan; Işık, Uğur; Baysal, Akın; Güzel, Remziye; Aydemir, Murat; Durap, FeyyazThe starting material N,N '-bis(diphenylphosphino) ethane-1,2-diamine (1) was prepared for the first time in this study by a one-step reaction of 1,2-ethylenediamine with one equivalent of diphenylchlorophosphine. The reaction of 1 with either [Ru(p-cymene)(mu-Cl)Cl](2) or [Ru(benzene)(mu-Cl)Cl](2) afforded a series of novel bridged binuclear complexes of [C2H4-{NHPPh2-Ru(benzene)Cl-2}(2)], 1a and [C2H4-{NHPPh2-Ru(p-cymene)Cl-2}(2)], 1b, respectively. All newly synthesized complexes were comprehensively characterized using various analytical and spectroscopic techniques. H-1-, C-13-, P-31{H-1} NMR, (HH)-H-1-H-1 COSY or (HC)-H-1-C-13 HETCOR correlation experiments were employed to validate the spectral assignments. Both complexes are appropriate catalyst precursors for transfer hydrogenation of acetophenone derivatives. In particular, the complex [C2H4-{NHPPh2-Ru(benzene)Cl-2}(2)], referred to as 1a, demonstrates outstanding catalytic efficiency, by producing the relevant alcohols in 99 % conversion at 82 degrees C (TOF similar to 1200 h(-1)) in 5 min, outperforming analogous complexes in transfer hydrogenation reactions. Furthermore, the chemical characterizations, electronic transitions, and electrochemical properties of the Ru(II) complexes were systematically investigated by experimental methods.Öğe Synthesis and characterization of triazole-based schiff bases as novel highly efficient organocatalysts for rapid H2 generation via NaBH4 methanolysis(ELSEVIER SCI LTD, 2025) Işık, Uğur; Gültekin, Ergün; Elma Karakaş, Duygu; Kaya, MustafaThe triazole skeleton is a fundamental building block in heterocyclic chemistry and has been widely investigated for its applications in various fields such as materials science, medicinal chemistry and organic synthesis. Despite this broad utility, the use of this building group as an organocatalyst for hydrogen production is a largely neglected and under-researched topic in literature. While Schiff base-metal complexes (M = Cu, Zn, Ni, etc.) have previously been employed in sodium borohydride (NaBH4) hydrolysis reactions, it is particularly noteworthy that, for the first time, only triazole-based organocatalysts have been utilized as catalysts for hydrogen generation via the NaBH4 methanolysis. In this work, we synthesized, characterized, and optimized triazolebased organocatalysts (MF-MB-PF) and focused on as an efficient catalyst for hydrogen evolution via the alcoholysis of NaBH4. The hydrogen production performance of the MF catalyst was systematically evaluated on the basis of parameters such as catalyst type and amount used, NaBH4 concentration, different solvent systems, various methanol-water ratios, temperature conditions and catalyst reusability. The MF-catalyzed NaBH4 methanolysis reaction was completed in just 0.8 min. Moreover, the hydrogen generation rate (HGR) for the MFcatalyzed reaction was calculated to be 20,540 mL min-1gcat-1 at 30 degrees C, which is comparable to, or better than, that of most metal-free catalysts used for similar purposes. In addition, we determined the activation energy for the MF-catalyzed reaction to be 16.98 kJ/mol. The MF catalyst exhibited remarkable reusability with no significant loss in the first three cycles in the catalytic activity used for the five-cycle reaction. Additionally, the possible mechanism of the MF catalyst in the NaBH4 methanolysis reaction is discussed. Overall, this study introduces MF as a novel metal-free catalyst for hydrogen generation and highlights its potential as an efficient material.Öğe Evaluating barriers to implementation of open innovation in SMEs: A case study in Ordu province(Awrak Thakafieh, 2025) Aytekin, Ahmet; Korucuk, SelçukApproaches such as innovation, innovation management, open innovation, and utilization of technology have become critical for almost all businesses to stay ahead of the competition in today's globalized corporate environment. Non-enterprise innovation applications, often known as open innovation in enterprises, are integrated by embedding them into internal systems. The production of innovative ideas in collaboration with non-enterprise partners can be classified as open innovation practices within small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). As a result, they are critical components in assisting organizations, such as offering a competitive advantage to SMEs, cost reduction, improving customer service quality, and responding to market needs on time. Yet, SMEs have a number of challenges when it comes to open innovation applications. The elimination of these barriers and problems will also increase the agility of SMEs. In this context, the barriers to open innovation implementation in SMEs were investigated, and the criteria that prevent open innovation were identified. The weight coefficients representing the importance levels of the criteria were calculated using the Interval Valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy Ranking Comparison (RANCOM) technique. According to the findings, the most critical barrier in the fulfilment of open innovation was " inadequacy or lack of management support.".Öğe Cultural adaptation and Turkish version of the Late-Life Function and Disability Instrument for individuals with gonarthrosis: A validity and reliability study(Taylor and Francis Ltd., 2025) Hazar, Yağmur; Atıcı, Emine; Çağlıyan Erdoğan, Hande; Kardesş KübraPurposes: This study aimed to culturally adapt and assess the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of the Late-Life Function and Disability Instrument (LLFDI) in elderly individuals with knee osteoarthritis (gonarthrosis). A variety of techniques were used to characterize the catalyst, including SEM, SEM-EDS, FTIR, XRD, BET and XPS. The specific surface area of the N,O-doped Cat₁₃₁-700 catalyst was measured as 697.66 m²/g, indicating a moderately developed porous structure. Performance activities showed the efficiency of the catalyst in hydrogen production, with essential factors such as the catalyst amount, the NaBH₄ quantity and the temperature affecting the reaction kinetics. Remarkably, the NaBH₄ methanolysis reaction catalyzed by N,O-doped Cat₁₃₁-700 was completed in approximately 4 min, whereas the same amount of hydrogen was generated within just 20 s in a methanol/propylene glycol (5:5) solvent system. The hydrogen production rate for the N,O-doped Cat₁₃₁-700 catalyzed reaction was calculated as 300,000 mLmin⁻¹gcat⁻¹ at 30 °C. Furthermore, the activation energy of the catalyzed reaction was calculated as 11.99 kJ/mol, which is notably low compared to many other catalysts reported for similar applications. Overall, this study introduces N,O-doped Cat₁₃₁-700 as a promising, efficient, and reusable catalyst for sustainable hydrogen generation, particularly under mild reaction conditions.Öğe Effects of black garlic addition and cooking duration on nitrosamine levels and quality attributes of sucuk(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI), 2025) Kaya, Mükerrem; Karayiğit, Asena; Yılmaz Oral, Zeynep Feyza; Öztürk, Kübra; Fencioğlu Çakır, Halenur; Akyol, Yağmur; Ulutaş Altaylı, Bilge; Sallan, Selen; Kaban, GüzinSucuk, a type of dry fermented sausage, is generally consumed cooked, unlike many fermented sausage types. Therefore, alternative applications to prevent nitrosamine formation in fermented sausages such as sucuk are of great importance. This study aimed to determine the effects of black garlic (BG) and cooking time (0, 1, or 3 min at 180 °C) in sucuk. For this purpose, four different sucuk batters were prepared: FG1 (1% fresh garlic-control), BG1 (1% BG), BG2 (2% BG), and BG3 (3% BG). After ripening, the samples were cooked for different durations and subjected to nitrosamine analysis. Additionally, the study investigated the effect of BG on the qualitative properties of the ripened samples (uncooked). The results showed that the use of BG in sucuk led to a decline in lactic acid bacteria and Micrococcus/Staphylococcus counts (p < 0.05). The pH and residual nitrite levels in BG2 and BG3 were lower than those in FG1 and BG1 (p < 0.05). The TBARS value increased with increasing usage rate of BG (p < 0.05). BG2 and BG3 increased N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) compared to FG1 and BG1 (p < 0.05). Garlic treatment had no significant effect on the N-Nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA) (p > 0.05). As the cooking time increased, the NDMA and NDEA content increased (p < 0.05). The interaction between treatment and cooking time affected only N-Nitrosopiperidine (NPIP), and at the 3 min cooking time, BG3 exhibited a higher NPIP content than FG1, BG1, and BG2 (p < 0.05). As a result, BG2 and BG3 had a negative effect on some quality properties of sucuk, while FG1 and BG1 generally showed similar results. Additionally, BG2 and BG3 showed similar increases in NDMA content. Nitrosamine content increased with increasing cooking time, but BG3 was more effective in NPIP formation than BG2 after 3 min of cooking.Öğe Investigation of determinants of fibonacci-hessenberg-lorentz matrices and special number sequences(Association of Mathematicians (MATDER), 2025) Gökcan, İbrahim; Değer, Ali HikmetThe research aims to construct a new type of matrix called the Fibonacci-Hessenberg-Lorentz matrix by multiplying Fibonacci-Hessenberg matrices with Lorentz matrix multiplication. The study will start by examining the properties of Hessenberg and tridiagonal matrices and then focus on developing the Fibonacci-Hessenberg matrix using Fibonacci sequences. By multiplication it with a Lorentz matrix multiplication, the resulting matrix, the Fibonacci-Hessenberg-Lorentz matrix, will be analyzed to obtain special number sequences through its determinants for n ≥ 1. The primary objective is to explore whether the determinants of these matrices can generate new or known number sequences, where the elements are expressed as functions of the matrix parameters. Furthermore, the research will attempt to generalize these sequences of using Fibonacci numbers to establish a generalized formula for their terms. Ultimately, the goal is to derive a mathematical representation that connects the characteristics of the newly defined matrices to well-known special sequences in mathematics.Öğe Zinc phthalocyanine as a heterogeneous catalyst for efficient H₂ generation from NaBH₄ methanolysis(Elsevier Ltd, 2025) Işık, Uğur; Namlı, Mesut; Kantar, Cihan; Elma Karakaş, DuyguPhthalocyanines have been extensively studied for their role in photodynamic therapy, sensors, optoelectronic devices etc.; however, their use as catalysts for hydrogen generation (HG) has remained a relatively unexplored area in scientific literature.
