dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı, salgın hastalıklara yönelik komplo teorisi ölçeğinin geliştirilmesidir. Bu doğrultuda İstanbul ilinin Bayrampaşa, Gaziosmanpaşa ve Eyüpsultan ilçelerinde ikamet eden 269 kişi çalışma kapsamına dâhil edilmiştir. Katılımcılardan çevrimiçi anket ile veri toplanmıştır. Ölçek geliştirme sürecinde, ilk olarak 21 maddeden oluşan taslak ölçek oluşturulmuştur. Uzman görüşü ve pilot çalışma aşamasından sonra 2 madde ölçekten çıkarılmıştır. Kalan 19 madde ile anket oluşturularak, örnekleme uygulanmıştır. Verilere ilk olarak açıklayıcı faktör analizi uygulanmıştır. Yapılan analiz sonrasında 19 maddeli ve 2 faktörden oluşan bir yapı ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu aşamadan sonra belirlenen yapıya doğrulayıcı faktör analizi uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen modelin verilere mükemmel uyum sağladığı belirlenmiştir. Geliştirilen ölçeğin, salgın hastalıklara yönelik komplo teorisi algısını ölçmek için kullanılabileceğine karar verilmiştir. Komplo teorileri gibi yanlış bilgilendirme veya yanlış algılar, toplumun sağlık konularına yaklaşımını etkileyebilir ve önemli halk sağlığı stratejilerinin etkisini azaltabilir. Bu nedenle, salgın hastalıklara yönelik doğru algıları belirlemek ve ölçmek için güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirmek, doğru bilgilendirme ve etkili müdahalelerin sağlanmasında kritik bir adımdır.
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to develop a conspiracy theory scale regarding epidemic diseases. In this context, 269 individuals residing in the districts of Bayrampaşa, Gaziosmanpaşa, and Eyüpsultan in Istanbul province were included in the study. Data were collected from participants through an online survey. In the process of scale development, initially, a draft scale consisting of 21 items was created. Two items were removed from the scale after expert opinion and pilot study phases. With the remaining 19 items, a survey was constructed and applied to the sample. Exploratory factor analysis was initially applied to the data. Following the analysis, a structure consisting of 19 items and 2 factors emerged. Confirmatory factor analysis was then applied to the identified structure. It was determined that the obtained model fit the data perfectly. It was decided that the developed scale could be used to measure the perception of conspiracy theories regarding epidemic diseases. Misinformation or misperceptions such as conspiracy theories can influence the community's approach to health issues and undermine the effectiveness of significant public health strategies. Therefore, developing a reliable scale to identify and measure correct perceptions regarding epidemic diseases is a critical step in ensuring accurate information and effective interventions.
