Sonuçlar, kariyer planlamasında bireylerin zaman algılarının yaş, sosyal roller ve kurumsal deneyimle şekillendiğini göstermekte; insan kaynakları stratejilerinin bu değişkenleri dikkate alması gerektiğini ortaya koymaktadır.Öğe The influence of exchange rate on performance of furniture industry: The case of Turkey(University of Zagreb Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, 2025) Çayır, Mustafa; Ersen, NadirIn this study, the effect of the effective exchange rate on the industrial production index, capacity utilization rate, import and export of the furniture products sector was investigated. The analysis covers the period from 2007 to 2023, and the data consists of month observations. Since some of the variables are non-linear and not stationary at the same level, nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag limit test (NARDL), which takes into account asymmetric effects, was used as a method. According to the results of the research, it has been determined that in the short term, downward movements in the effective exchange rate increase the capacity utilization rate of the furniture sector with a significance of 5 %, while upward movements in the effective exchange rate decrease the industrial production index of the furniture sector with a significance of 1 %. Additionally, the downward movements in the effective exchange rate negatively affect the export of furniture products in the long term, while it positively affects the import of furniture in the short term.Öğe A qualitative research examining the impact of the earthquakes on financial reports within the scope of IAS 10(MEHMET AKIF ERSOY UNIV, 2025) Onay, Ahmet; Güneş, RecepDeeply affecting the Turkish economy, the earthquakes that struck Kahramanmara & scedil; on February 6, 2023, had an adverse effect on the operations of numerous companies. As of the occurrence date, these earthquakes have been reported in the financial statements of many publicly traded companies as events after the reporting period. The purpose of this study is to determine how events after the balance sheet date are reported in the financial statements of companies in T & uuml;rkiye in the post-earthquake period. In line with this objective, two sample groups were created from companies whose stock trading was suspended after the earthquake and those in the BIST-100 Index that continued trading. The financial statements of these sample groups, specifically regarding events after the reporting period, were separately examined. Qualitative methods were employed in the analysis, and word frequencies and word clouds were obtained using Maxqda Analytics Pro 24. The analyses confirmed that publicly traded companies report events after the reporting period in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards. Additionally, the study qualitatively revealed the economic impacts of the earthquake disaster in T & uuml;rkiye, resulting in both material and non-material losses. This study has the potential to contribute to the limited domestic literature by addressing events after the reporting period through conceptual or theoretical examinations. Additionally, it stands to contribute to the broader international literature on the subject.Öğe Work-family conflict and work alienation among seafarers: The mediating role of emotional exhaustion(Elsevier Ltd, 2023) Toygar, Arda; Nart, Senem; Yıldırım, UmutWorking on ships in challenging conditions and with limited social contact, seafarers are separated from their families for much of the year. Moreover, the recent global crises have restricted seafarers’ connections with the shore. The necessity to work away from family can cause emotional exhaustion and work alienation among seafarers. Today, when the demand for maritime transportation has reached the highest levels, it is important to identify the factors that lead to the alienation of seafarers, who are the building blocks of the sector in the profession. Therefore, this study investigated the mediating role of emotional exhaustion in the association between work-family conflict and work alienation among seafarers. The participants of this study were 360 seafarers. The researchers used structural equation modeling to analyze the proposed hypotheses. The results of the mediation model indicated a significant and positive association between work-family conflict and work alienation, with emotional exhaustion partially mediating this association. Therefore, the study found that higher levels of work-family conflict were associated with higher levels of emotional exhaustion and work alienation. The results provide a different perspective on the challenges faced by seafarers and have practical implications.Öğe The mediating role of psychological safety in the effect of organisational cynicism on whistleblowing(Emerald, 2025) Filiz, Mustafa; Blenkinsopp, HohnPurpose – To determine the mediating role of psychological safety in the effect of organisational cynicism on whistleblowing intentions.
