| dc.description.abstract | Ağırlıklı olarak Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesi’nde yetiştirilen ve Türkiye’de ciddi bir tüketim ürünü olan çayın bu bölgeye gelişi ile bölgenin önemli bir sosyo-ekonomik dönüşüm geçirdiği açıktır. Çaydan önce ekonomik faaliyet alanı daha otarşik, daha hane üretimi-tüketimi odaklı iken, çay sonrasında çayın aynı zamanda hem zirai hem de sınai bir ürünü olması nedeniyle bölgenin ekonomik faaliyet alanları da farklılaşmış ve ağırlıklı olarak piyasaya yönelik mal üretimine dönmüştür. Bunun yanında, çayın sınai bir ürün olması nedeniyle fabrikalarla, fabrikaların sahibi devletle ve merkezi hükümetle bir bağımlılık ilişkisi de ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu bağımlılık ilişkisi ise bölgenin sosyo-politik ve sosyo-kültürel yapısında önemli bir tesire sahip olmuştur. Kısacası, Doğu Karadeniz’de çay sadece tarımsal bir faaliyet değildir ve göründüğünden daha derinlikli bir etki alanına haizdir. Bu nedenle, çayın ve çaya ait faaliyetlerin irdelenmesi ekonomik, toplumsal ve siyasal olarak Doğu Karadeniz’i anlamaya ışık tutacak niteliğe sahiptir. Bu sebepten ötürü, bu çalışma ile, Doğu Karadeniz’in en ucunda yer alan Artvin’in Hopa ilçesinde faaliyet gösteren Hopa Çay Kooperatifi’nin varolma sürecinin ele alınması üzerinden hem çayın bölgedeki öneminin hem de bölge genelinden farklı bir ekonomik model işleterek bir kolektif dayanışma çabasının irdelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | It is clear that the region has experienced an important socio-economic transformation by the fact that the tea plant, which is predominantly produced in the Eastern Black Sea Region and is a significant consumption product in Turkey, introducing to the region. While the economic activity area was more autarchic, more focused on the domestic production-consumption before the tea planting, the economic activity area has changed and is shifting to the market-based commodity production after the tea planting because tea is a both agricultural and industrial product at the same time. In addition to that, a dependency relation has been emerged with the factories, the state who owns the factories and the central government for the reason that tea is an industrial product. This dependency relation has an important effect upon the socio-political and socio-cultural structure of the region. In short, the tea is not a merely agricultural activity but also it has a more extensive sphere of influence rather than it appears. For this reason, investigating the tea and the activities belonging to the tea has a feature shedding light on the fact that to understand the Eastern Black Sea economically, socially and politically. Due to this reason, by this work, it is aimed to examine the importance of the tea in the region and the struggle for a collective solidarity by actuating an economic model different from the region through handling the process of the existence of Hopa Tea Cooperative operating in the Hopa district of Artvin locating in the easternmost of the Eastern Black Sea Region. | |
