The continuous development of technology in the globalising world has made concepts such as competition, efficiency and change a focal point in enterprises. In today's world, which is called as the information age, it is very important to be able to use the information as well as having information. In this study, the effect of intellectual capital, which has strategic importance in terms of sustainable competition and value creation in enterprises, on the relationship between job performance with the mediating role of job satisfaction targeting productivity-oriented employee satisfaction is examined by structural equation modelling. Information was collected through a questionnaire, which is a quantitative research technique, on public and private tea factory employees operating in the tea sector in Rize province. A 5-point Likert scale was used to measure the opinions of the participants. IBM SPPS Statistic 25 and AMOS 24 programmes were used to evaluate and analyse the data obtained. Model estimations were made with the Bootstrap estimation method used for data that do not meet the assumption of multivariate normality, one of the structural equation model assumptions. According to the results of the analysis, the effect of intellectual capital on employee performance was found to be statistically significant both through the mediating role of employee satisfaction (es =0.221, Bootstrap CI= [0.127-0.323]) and directly ( es=0.562, p<0.001). Among the sub-dimensions of intellectual capital, human capital has a statistically significant effect on job performance (ip =0,493, p=0,002), while the effect of customer capital and structural capital on employee performance (MS: =-0,093, p=0,560, YS: =-0,009, p=0,947) was not statistically significant.
