dc.description.abstractBu çalışma, ekim alanı ve ekim zamanı ile kimyasal zedeleme ve küllü suda bekletme önişlemlerinin Doğu alıcı (Crataegus orientalis paal. Ex. M. Bieb) tohumlarının çimlenme yüzdesi üzerine etkilerinin tespit edilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. C. orientalis tohumlarındaki çimlenme engellerini giderecek en uygun yöntemin belirlenmesi amacıyla H2SO4 (%98) ve HNO3 (%56)’te bekletme işlemleri ile C6H8O7 ve küllü suda bekletme işlemleri iki ayrı grup halinde uygulanmıştır. Ekimler, alan etkisini ortaya koymak amacıyla sera ve açık alan koşullarında ekim ayında, ekim zamanının etkisini orta koymak amacıyla ise açık alan koşullarında ağustos ve ekim aylarında 3 tekrarlı tesadüfi tam bloklar deneme desenine göre gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda; C. orientalis türünde uygulanan sülfürik asitte, nitrik asitte ve sitrik asitte bekletme işlemlerine tabi tutulan tohumlardan çimlenmeler elde edilememiştir. En yüksek çimlenme yüzdesi Ağustos ayında açık alan koşullarında ekimi yapılan 6 gün % 10’luk küllü suda bekletme işlemi uygulanan tohumlardan %74.44 oranında elde edilmiştir.
dc.description.abstractThis study was carried out to determine the effects of sowing site, sowing time, chemical scarification and floating on water solution of ash pretreatments on germination percentage of hawthorn (Crataegus orientalis paal. Ex. M. Bieb) seeds. Seeds were pretreated with sulphuric acid (H2SO4), nitric acid (HNO3), citric acid (C6H8O7) and water solution of ash within two different or separated groups to determine most appropriate methods for removing seed dormancy of oriental hawthorn. Sowings were carried out in green house and open field conditions in September to determine field effects. Sowings were also carried out to determine effects of sowing time in August and September at open field conditions with three replications of randomized block design. As a results of this study it was determined that pretreatments of sulphuric acid, nitric acid and citric acid were not effective on overcoming of seed dormancy of C. orientalis seeds. Best germination percentage were achieved from seedssown in August after pretreated with soaking water solution of ash for 6 days as 74 %.
