| dc.description.abstract | 19 ve 20’nci yüzyıllarda ulusçuluk ideolojisine sahip devletler, ulus-inşa sürecinde eğitimi bir araç olarak kullanmışlardır. Devletler kendi varlıklarını ve meşruiyet ilkelerini toplumsal zeminde sürekli kılmak için ideoloji ve eğitim gibi araçları kullanır. İdeoloji aracılığıyla siyasal iktidar kendi ilkelerini topluma aktarır. Eğitim ise bu aktarımın kurumsal zeminini sağlar. Eğitim ve ideoloji bu anlamda birbirine eklemlenmiş ikili olgudur. Bu bağlamda Cumhuriyetin kurucu kadrosu, istenilen yeniden inşayı gerçekleştirmek için modern devletin tüm olanaklarını (eğitim, aile, hukuk, ordu, polis, iletişim, ulaşım vb.) kullanmıştır. Bu araçlar içerisinde en önemli olmasa bile en kritik olan unsurlardan birisi de eğitimdir. Devleti inşa edenler, devlet ideolojisinin bireylere tam manasıyla özümsetilmesini ve bu ideolojinin meşru gösterilmesinde eğitimi bir araç olarak kullanmışlardır. Bundan dolayı mevcut yapının sistematik bir biçimde değiştirilmesi ya da yenilenmesinde eğitim unsurundan her yeni kurulmuş devlet gibi Türkiye Cumhuriyeti devleti de faydalanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Cumhuriyet döneminde çağa uygun bir ideoloji benimsenmiş midir? Benimsenen ideolojinin içeriği nedir? sorularına cevap aranacaktır. Bu araştırmada betimsel bir yöntem benimsenmiştir. Betimsel araştırma olayların, objelerin, varlıkların, kurumların ve çeşitli alanların ne olduğunu açıklamaya çalışır (Kaptan, 1998: 59). Çalışma sonucunda, Cumhuriyetin eğitim ideolojisinin, dönemin dünyası bağlamında anlaşıldığı görülmektedir. Mustafa Kemal (Atatürk) döneminde ‘Modern Batı’yı eğitimin kullanımı bağlamında ilerleme, bütünleşme, ulusçuluk, sekülerleşme ve birliği temel alan tutarlı ve pragmatik bir eğitim politikasının benimsendiği anlaşılmaktadır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | States having nationalistic ideology, employed education as an instrument in the process of nation building. States use instrument such as education and ideology to make their existence and legality perennial on social base. Political government transmits its principles to society through the ideology. Education provides institutional ground this transmission. The education and the ideology is phenomena which is articulated. Founders of the republic used all of resources of the states (education, family, law, army, police, and communication, transportation so on) to actualize the desired reconstruction. Education is one of the most critic elements. Because, education provides people consisting of state to be comprehended the ideological structure, which is the basic component of states and seemed legal. Therefore, Turkish Republic benefits from the education component, as other new states, in the systematic process of changing and regenerating of present constitution. In this study, it was sought to answer that if contemporary ideology was adopted? What content of the adopted ideology was? Descriptive method was used. Descriptive research tries explaining what events, objects, existences, institutions are (Kaptan, 1998:59). As a result of this study, it was seen that ideology of republic was understood in the context of that time. At the time of Mustapha Kemal (Ataturk) pragmatic and consistent educational policy aiming progress, integration, nationalism, secularization was adopted. | |
