| dc.description.abstract | Ülke ekonomilerine fayda getiren en önemli endüstrilerden birisi olan turizm; döviz girişi sağlama, istihdam oluşturma, dış ticaret açığının kapatılması gibi iktisadi alanlarda birçok önemli katkı sağlamaktadır. Diğer yandan, turizm endüstrisinde talebin esnek bir yapıya sahip olması, ulusal ya da uluslararası düzeyde meydana gelen salgın hastalık ve krizlerin, turizm faaliyetlerini ve paydaşlarını doğrudan etkileyebilmektedir. 2019 yılı sonlarında dünya genelinde, 2020 yılı Mart ayı itibariyle Türkiye’de ortaya çıkan küresel Koronavirüs Pandemisi (Covid-19) turizm endüstrisini önemli ölçüde etkisi altına almıştır. Bu noktadan hareketle çalışmada, Covid-19 salgınının turizm endüstrisi üzerindeki etkisi; turizm gelirleri, turist sayıları, turizmin Gayri Safi Yurt İçi Hâsıla (GSYİH) içerisindeki payı ve turizmde istihdam sayıları kapsamında incelenmiştir. Nitel araştırma yönteminin benimsendiği çalışmada veri toplama amacıyla literatür taraması ve doküman inceleme tekniklerinden yararlanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda, geçmiş dönemlerde yaşanan salgın hastalıklar ve krizlerin turizme etkileri ile Covid-19 salgınının turizm üzerindeki etkileri karşılaştırılmıştır. Çalışma neticesinde; önceki yıllarda yaşanan salgın hastalık ve krizler sonrasında turizm endüstrisinin ortalama verileri iki yılda yakalayabildiği tespit edilmiştir. Günümüzde yaşanan Covid-19 salgın sürecinin etkisinin ise daha uzun süreceği, sürecin turizm endüstrisine, turizm faaliyetlerine ve paydaşlarına daha kalıcı zararlar bırakacağı öngörülmektedir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Tourism, which is one of the most important industries that brings benefits to the country's economies; It provides many important contributions in economic fields such as providing foreign exchange inflow, creating employment, closing the foreign trade deficit. On the other hand, due to the flexible nature of demand in the tourism industry, epidemics and crises occuring at national or international level can directly affect tourism activities and stakeholders. The global Coronavirus Pandemic (Covid-19), which emerged in Turkey as of March 2020, worldwide, at the end of 2019, had a significant impact on the tourism industry. From this point of view, in the study, the effect of the Covid-19 epidemic on the tourism industry; tourism revenues, the number of tourists, the share of tourism in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the number of employment in tourism. In the study, in which the qualitative research method was adopted, literature review and document review techniques were used for data collection. In line with the data obtained, the effects of the epidemic diseases and crises experienced in the past on tourism and the effects of the Covid-19 epidemic on tourism were compared. As a result of the study; after the epidemics and crises experienced in the previous years, it has been determined that the tourism industry can catch the average data in two years. It is predicted that the effect of the current Covid-19 epidemic process will last longer, and the process will cause more permanent damage to the tourism industry, tourism activities and stakeholders | |
