Climate change and the increasing risk of drought necessitate alternative and sustainable water management approaches in areas with high water consumption, such as university campuses. In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the environmental and economic feasibility of the integrated implementation of rainwater harvesting (RWH) and greywater reuse (GWR) systems on the campuses of Artvin Çoruh University (ACU). For this purpose, the building roof areas, long-term average precipitation data for the period 1949– 2024 (694.7 mm), and user populations were used to calculate the annual rainwater and greywater potentials; investment costs and payback periods were then determined accordingly. The calculations indicated a total roof area of 45,803 m², an annual rainwater potential of 22,854 m³, and a greywater potential of 237,254 m³. The integrated system was found to meet the irrigation demand of green areas completely in some campuses and by 49–72% in others. Economic analyses showed that the investment costs could be recovered within 14–17 years through the savings provided by the systems. The original contribution of the study lies in the integrated evaluation of RWH and GWR systems at a multi-campus scale, together with the presentation of the obtained results alongside campus- based economic feasibility analyses. In this respect, the study demonstrates the importance of this integrated system for university campuses under the climatic conditions of the Eastern Black Sea Region. The findings demonstrate that RWH and GWR systems offer an environmentally resilient, economically viable, and sustainable solution for university campuses in the face of climate change and water scarcity.
