Özet
Daha çok kent merkezlerinde yer alan ve kent halkını doğa ile buluşturan park alanlarının üstlendikleri birçok işlevler bulunmaktadır. Bu işlevlerin sağlıklı bir şekilde sürdürülebilmesi ve park kullanıcılarının memnuniyetinin sağlanması tasarlanan mekanlarda, ihtiyaç-etkinlik-mekan ilişkisinin iyi kurulmasına bağlıdır. Kullanıcı ihtiyaçları doğrultusunda belirlenen etkinliklerin gerçekleştirilebilmesi için de tasarlanan mekanların bu etkinliklere uygun olması gereklidir. Bu çalışmada Doğu Karadeniz’de yer alan Artvin, Rize ve Trabzon illerinin sahil kesiminde konumlanmış kent parklarından birer örnek seçilerek bu alanlardaki ihtiyaç-etkinlik-mekan ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Buna göre çalışma kapsamında fiziksel, fonksiyonel, estetik ve ekolojik olmak üzere 4 ana kriter ve bunlara ilişkin alt kriterleri içeren bir değerlendirme skalası geliştirilmiştir. Her bir park alanına ilişkin genel değerlendirmeler bu skalaya göre yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, kent parklarının insanların genel ihtiyaçlarını karşılayabildiği mekanlara sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir. Ancak fonksiyonel, estetik ve ekolojik kriterler bakımdan birtakım eksikliklerin olduğu ve buna ilişkin daha uygun ve sürdürülebilir mekanların tasarlanması gerektiği ortaya çıkmıştır.
The urban parks, mostly located in urban centers and provide contact between urban residents and nature, have several functions. Efficient fulfillment of these functions and ensuring the satisfaction of the park occupants depend on a well-established need-activity-space relationship in designed spaces. In order to conduct the activities determined based on the user requirements, the designed spaces should be suitable for these activities. In the present study, an urban park examples located in coastal areas in the provinces of Artvin, Rize and Trabzon in the Eastern Black Sea region in Turkey were selected and the need-activity-space relationship was examined in these areas. Accordingly, an assessment scale that included 4 main criteria including physical, functional, aesthetic and ecological features and further sub-criteria was developed. General analysis of each park space was conducted based on this scale. The study findings demonstrated that urban parks had spaces where individuals could fulfill their general needs. However, certain functional, aesthetic and ecological problems were determined, and it became evident that more adequate and sustainable spaces should be designed accordingly.
