| dc.description.abstract | Rapid developments in information and communication technologies in the world have affected the political, social, cultural, and administrative structures of life. In this period called the digital age, due to the differentiation and diversification of citizens' service expectations, traditional management approaches have started to have difficulty in fulfilling the service demands of citizens. This situation has necessitated the transformation of the administrative structures of societies. In this process, changes in public administration structures have brought egovernment applications to the agenda in the provision of public services. E-municipality, which is a local branch of e-government, has become an important tool in the provision of public services in the context of revealing the impact and interaction of new technologies on the state-citizen relationship and the successful realization of digital transformation in public administration. E-municipality refers to the integration of each unit within the municipality into information and communication technologies, in other words, the holistic digital transformation of municipalities. E-municipality applications, which were first used as a website providing general information, have become more comprehensive as municipalities have started to offer various services online. Accordingly, municipalities, which are the closest local government units to the public, have started to offer more effective and faster solutions to the needs and problems of the public by using information and communication technologies. Accordingly, this study aims to describe the current status of the E-Municipality Information System, which was put into practice in Turkiye after the changes in public administration on the axis of digital transformation, based on the content analysis method. | |
