dc.description.abstractNovalis, a key thinker of German Romanticism, wrote literary and philosophical works that examined the relationship between nature and man from an unconventional standpoint. This study seeks to elucidate Novalis' conception of humanity within the context of his interpretation of nature, which portrays nature as a subject. To this end, the comprehension of humanity within modern science and philosophy was called into question, and the notion of man as a rational being was critically examined. Novalis questions the belief that humanity has a special role in nature. He warns about the dangers of people mistakenly thinking their higher status is justified. He believes that nature is not something humans can control, contrary to what modern science suggests. Novalis, who rejects Fichte's division between "I" and "not-I" in the relationship between nature and man, believes that we should also consider nature itself to be a subject. Through the problematization of the self-design of the human being, the basis for a healthier relationship with nature is created.
