dc.description.abstractBu çalışma, Z kuşağının İstanbul Sözleşmesi’ne ve genel olarak Kadın Haklarına yönelik bakış açısını incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma genç bireylerin toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği, kadına yönelik şiddetle mücadele ve kadın haklarının korunmasına yönelik bilgi ve tutum düzeyini anlamaya yöneliktir. Çalışma, nitel araştırma deseniyle tasarlanmıştır. Artvin Çoruh Üniversitesi Hopa İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi öğrencileriyle yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Görüşmelerde, katılımcılara; İstanbul Sözleşmesi, kadın hakları, toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği ve Türkiye’nin sözleşmeden çekilmesi hakkında sorular yöneltilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler, MAXQDA programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma ile Z kuşağının bu alandaki farkındalığını anlamak ve sosyal politika süreçlerine katkı sağlamak hedefiyle yürütülmüştür. Örneklemin bir fakülteyi kapsaması ve Türkiye genelini temsil etmemesi araştırmanın bir kısıtı olarak görülse de çalışma, Z kuşağının bu alandaki tutumlarını ortaya koyması bakımından özgün bir nitelik taşımaktadır. Ayrıca çalışma bulguları, gençlere yönelik farkındalık programlarının hazırlanması ve sosyal politika önerilerinin geliştirilmesi açısından önemli potansiyel bir temel oluşturabilir.
dc.description.abstractThis study aims to examine Generation Z’s perspective on the Istanbul Convention and women’s rights in general. The research is aimed at understanding young individuals’ levels of knowledge and attitudes toward gender equality, combating violence against women, and the protection of women’s rights. The study was designed with a qualitative research design. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with students of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Artvin Çoruh University in Hopa. During the interviews, participants were asked questions about the Istanbul Convention, women’s rights, gender equality, and Turkey’s withdrawal from the Convention. The obtained data were analyzed using the MAXQDA program. The study was conducted with the aim of understanding Generation Z’s awareness in this field and contributing to social policy processes. Although the sample includes only one faculty and does not represent Turkey as a whole, the study has an original quality in terms of revealing Generation Z’s attitudes in this field. In addition, the study findings may constitute an important potential basis for the preparation of awareness programs for young people and the development of social policy recommendations.
