Özet
Orman yolları; ormancılık faaliyetlerinin sürekliliği, ekonomikliği, emniyeti ve çevresel uyumluluğu için titizlikle planlanması ve inşa edilmesi gereken yapılardır. İyi bir orman yolu, tabanından kaplanmasına kadar bütünüyle kuru olan, yüzeysel ve taban sularının belirli sınırlar içinde kalmak suretiyle uzaklaştırıldığı, dere geçişlerinde havzadan gelebilecek suların ve özellikle taşkınların olumsuz etkilerinin ortadan kaldırıldığı yoldur. Yüzeyler suların uzaklaştırılması için en fazla kullanılan ve kullanılması gereken sanat yapıları büzlerdir. Büzler, havzadaki uzaklaştırılması gereken suyun durumuna göre boyutları değişen ve genellikle dairesel kesite sahip olan yapılardır. Gelişen teknolojinin paralelliğinde son 10 yıldır PVC ve polietilenden üretilen borular da kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışma PVC boruların kullanım yerlerinde görülerek çalışma durumlarını irdelemek amacıyla Handüzü Orman İşletme Şefliği’nde yapılmıştır.
