Özet
Bu çalışma; XII. yüzyılın ilk çeyreğinde dünyaya gelmiş aslen Tiflisli olup birçok ilim dalında eserler telif etmekle birlikte uzun bir süre Anadolu Selçuklu Sultanı II. Kılıç Arslan’ın hizmetinde bulunan büyük bilge Şeyh Ebû’l-Fadl Hubeyş b. İbrahim b. Muhammed et-Tiflîsî’nin hayatını ve eserlerini konu edinmektedir. Daha ziyade tabipliği ile öne çıkmış olan bilge Hubeyş, tıp, astronomi, dini ilimler, rüya yorumculuğu, şiir, lügat, dil ve edebiyatın yanı sıra insanoğlunun ihtiyaçlarını temin ettiği mesleklerin incelikleriyle ilgili telif ettiği eserler ile İslâm kültür ve ilim hayatına katkıda bulunmuş Müslüman bir ilmi şahsiyettir.
This work is concerned with the works and life of the great wise Ebû’l-Fadl Hubaysh b. Ibrahim b. Muhammed et-Tblisi, born in the first quarter of XII. century and originally from Tbilisi. Along with compiling works in many disciplines, he was in the service of Kilic Arslan II, the sultan of Anatolian Seljuk. The wise Hubeyş, who has become prominent with his profession of doctor, is a Muslim scholar who has contributed to Islamic culture and science through the works he compiled, which is related to the occupations in which human beings provide their needs as well as medicine, astronomy, religious sciences, dream interpretation, poetry, poetry, language and literature.
