Özet
Yazın hayatına 1980’li yıllarda adım atan Ethem Baran, özellikle kısa öykü alanında özgün bir yer edinmiş ve işlediği temalar ile Türk öyküsüne yeni bir soluk getirmiştir. Modern Türk edebiyatında sessiz ama derin izler bırakan Baran, bireyin iç dünyasını, insan psikolojisini ve toplumsal sorunları ustalıkla harmanlamıştır. 2005 yılında okuyucu ile buluşan Dönüşsüz Yolculuklar Kitabı da yabancılaşma başta olmak üzere bireyin içsel ve toplumsal kırılmalarını yansıtacaktır. Çalışmada Baran’ın Dönüşsüz Yolculuklar Kitabı eserinde bireyin toplumsal, mekânsal ve varoluşsal düzeyde yaşadığı yabancılaşma deneyimleri incelenecektir. Kırsaldan kente göç, geçmişe duyulan özlem, aidiyet sorunları ve yalnızlık gibi durumlar, yabancılaşma temasının farklı boyutlarını açığa çıkaran dinamikler olarak ele alınmıştır. Bireyin kendi içinde yabancılaşması, toplum karşısında yabancılaşması zamana ve mekâna yabancılaşması gibi çok katmanlı yapı tek tek incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Yabancılaşmanın ortaya çıkışı Dünya ve Türk Edebiyatında yansımaları üzerine kısa bir bilgi verildikten sonra da çalışmanın asıl kısmını oluşturan Dönüşsüz Yolculuklar Kitabı isimli hikâyede yabancılaşma örnekler ile detaylandırma yapılacaktır.
Ethem Baran, who entered the literary scene in the 1980s, has established a distinctive place particularly in the field of the short story and has brought a fresh perspective to Turkish storytelling through the themes he explores. Leaving subtle yet profound traces in modern Turkish literature, Baran skillfully combines the individual's inner world, human psychology, and social issues in his works. His Dönüşsüz Yolculuklar Kitabı, published in 2005, reflects the individual's inner and social fractures, with alienation occupying a central position. This study examines the experiences of alienation portrayed in Dönüşsüz Yolculuklar Kitabı at the social, spatial, and existential levels. Issues such as rural-to-urban migration, nostalgia for the past, problems of belonging, and loneliness are discussed as dynamics that reveal different dimensions of alienation. The study analyzes the multilayered structure of alienation by focusing on the individual's alienation from the self, from society, and from time and space. Following a brief discussion of the emergence of alienation and its reflections in world and Turkish literature, the main part of the study provides a detailed analysis of examples of alienation in the stories collected in Dönüşsüz Yolculuklar Kitabı.
