| dc.description.abstract | Kırsal mimari ve ahşap yapıları bünye-sinde barındıran Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesi’nin özgün öğelerinden biri olan “Şavşat Evleri” mimarisi ve ahşap kullanımı ile önem arz etmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı; bu ahşap yapıların kırsal mimaride korunması konusuyla birlikte kent mekânlarında da sürdürülebilirliğini sağlayarak farkındalık oluşturmaktır. Bu bağlamda Artvin-Şavşat yöre mimarisinde geleneksel yerleşim, plan, ahşap mimari oluşumuna sahip olan Şavşat Evleri ve geleneksel yapım teknikleri araştırılıp incelenmiştir. Bu inceleme sonucunda Artvin Çoruh Üniversitesi bünyesindeki bir mekâna Şavşat Evi mimarisi ve ahşap uygulama teknikleriyle özgün, kullanım yeri ve amacı farklı olan bir ahşap yapı inşa edilmiştir. Bu ahşap yapının inşasında yöre de bulunan Sarıçam (Pinus sylvestris L.) ağaç türünden faydalanılmıştır. Ahşap parçaların birleştirilmesinde geçme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Ahşap kapıların tasarımında yöresel motiflerden yararlanılmış, köşk ve balkon bölümünde ise Şavşat evine özgü motifler araştırılarak uygulanmıştır. Mevcut araştırmada sarıçam ağaç malzemesinin geçme birleştirmelerinde, koruyucu boya tutmada ve bazı süsleme işlemlerinde iyi sonuçlar verdiği görülmüştür. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The “Şavşat Houses,” one of the unique elements of the Eastern Black Sea Region, which incorporates rural architecture and wooden structures, are significant for their architecture and use of wood. The aim of this study is to raise awareness by ensuring the sustainability of these wooden structures in urban spaces, along with their preservation in rural architecture. In this context, the traditional sett- lement, layout, and wooden architectural structure of the Şavşat Houses in the Artvin-Şavşat regional architecture, as well as traditional construction techniques, were researched and examined. As a re- sult of this study, a unique wooden structure with a different location and purpose was built at a site within Artvin Çoruh University using Şavşat House architecture and woodworking techniques. Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) trees found in the region were used in the construction of this wooden struc- ture. The mortise and tenon technique was used to join the wooden parts. Local motifs were used in the design of the wooden doors, while motifs specific to Şavşat Houses were researched and applied in the pavilion and balcony sections. In the current research, it was observed that Scots pine wood material yielded good results in mortise and tenon joints, protective paint adhesion, and some deco- rative processes. | |
