Özet
Gürcistan’dan göç edip Trabzon’un Of-Çaykara bölgesine yerleşen bir aileye mensup olan Gürcizâde Ahmed Efendi, Osmanlının son döneminde yetişen alimlerden biridir. Yöredeki hocalardan ilim tahsil etmiş, çeşitli medreselerde müderrislik yapmış ve çok sayıda talebe yetiştirmiştir. Ayrıca irşad hizmetlerinde de bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmada onun Of sahili ile Bayburt şehri arasında kalan bölgede geçen hayat hikayesi ana hatları ile ele alınacak, tahsil hayatı, ilmi kişiliği, eğitim faaliyetleri, icâzetnâmeleri, kütüphanesi, görev yaptığı medreseler konusunda daha detaylı bilgiler verilecektir.
Gürcizade Ahmed Efendi, who belongs to a family emigrated from Georgia and settled in the Of-Çaykara region of Trabzon, is one of the scholars of the Ottoman period. He has collected knowledge from scholars in this region, has been a profesor in various medreses and he has taught many students. In addition, he has also made religious activities. In this study, the story of his life in the region between Of beach and Bayburt city will be examined. Especially more detailed information will be given about college life, scholarly personality, educational activities, diplomas, library, schools that he works
