Özet

This study's objectives are to develop and validate a scale to assess obstetric violence (OV) experienced by women during pregnancy in Turkey. The scale consists of 18 items and three subdimensions: “Supportive Care and Information Support,” “Achieving Professional Standards of Care and Effective Communication,” and “Health Promotion.” The scale explained 61% of the total variance. All goodness-of-fit indices indicated an acceptable fit between the model and the sample data. The overall Cronbach's α reliability coefficient was 0.91. The scale ranges from 0 to 72, with higher scores indicating more experience of OV.
